Imesian vine-beasts

Vine-beasts are gigantic invertebrates from the tropics of Imest. They are the size of medium-large trees and can be found near rivers and lakes.

It is very difficult for vine-beasts to move, so they are fixed to one area for a majority of their lives. Due to this, like carnivorous plants, they wait for their prey to come to them. By using a special limb that evolved to have the appearance of a fish, their prey gets lured until it is easy to reach.

Abilities:

  • Mimicry (limb with bait)
  • Fast regeneration
  • Releasing toxins
Although vine-beasts look like plants, they can easily be mistaken for one. However, underneath their appearance, there is meat underneath.

Crowdedness in Imest's Settlement Domes

To keep safe from anything Imest's unpredictable oceans has to offer to land life, the planet's most major cities, or at least the planet's richest settlements, have decided to keep themselves safe by building a protective dome over them. Obviously, a city's dome can only hold up to a certain limit of its own weight, so the people try not to build it too big, otherwise the entire city built underneath it would be crushed.

Because of that, major cities are much smaller in area compared to the major cities in Imest's neighbours, however they are but significantly more crowded. Expect to see slums and homelessness among the large buildings.

Poorer cities and towns are significantly more at risk to Imest's natural dangers since they haven't enough money to start a dome project. The people living in unprotected settlements have no protection from the ocean's natural disasters like tsunamis and the dangerous beasts of the wilderness.

The web (internet)

First, it needs to mentioned that between the three planets of Piaros, there is a shared web (as in internet web*). And since the web is shared by three worlds, the term "World Wide Web" wouldn't be exactly an accurate statement.

As a result, webpage addresses that originate from different planets goes like this: it's "iww" for planet Imest, "sww" for planet Stawdos, and "aww" (haha) for planet Anrakid. Or maybe, to lesser complicate things, they'd just use "pww" for the entire Piarosar system.

Of course, each individual planet's web would have existed before technology was advanced enough to have a web that could be shared between entire planets. So, older websites would be the ones to use either "iww," "sww," or "aww" depending on which planet the site's from.

Rarely, there would be the cases of some modern sites using "iww", "sww" and "aww", but that is mostly because the site is amateur (and likely under a free subscription, depending on whatever hosts the site).

* I don't know the terminology, I'm sorry
